Section 4 Would You Like Extra Original Deed Polls? Some organisations (such as the Passport Office, DVLA and financial institutions) will not accept a photocopy of your Deed Poll. To avoid sending your only original in the post (and risking it being lost or damaged) you can order additional duplicates. We will send you multiple original Deed Poll documents, all of which you can sign and witness at the same time. Once signed, they will each serve as valid originals for official use. Most of our clients order around 5 copies for convenience — while those notifying multiple organisations often choose more to save time and avoid delays.

Here’s how it works:
We will include one extra copy of your deed poll in your pack. Simply sign and witness it as normal and then return it to us using our provided pre-paid envelope. Once received, we will scan and securely store a digital copy of your signed Deed Poll in our archives. Now it's in our archives, if you ever lose your Deed Poll, you can request further printed copies from us at any time, even years later, without having to go through the whole process again. Most of our clients have chosen to protect their name change this way. It's a small step now that saves a huge headache later..
